Leslie Drake-Robinson
Artist Biography

Nationally recognized, L. Drake-Robinson is set apart by her creativity, versatility, and skill. For twenty five years her exceptional work has been published and distributed nationwide as limited edition prints, greeting cards, book illustrations and numerous commercial products.

A fourth generation Montanan, Leslie earned a B.F.A. in Art from the University of Montana in 1979, having also studied at NAU in Flagstaff, AZ. She began marketing her art work throughout the northwest in the form of prints and cards. Soon her exceptional work gained the attention of major corporations nationwide, who began publishing and distributing her artwork as licensed products and limited edition prints. While actively pursuing her art career, Leslie has also taught art part time in Montana schools and in her own private art academy in Hamilton, MT. Always recognized for her expressive landscapes, in recent years her excellent portrait work has been gaining notoriety.

Through her diverse experience as an artist and instructor, Leslie has developed a fluid creativity and expression that is broad and artistically mature. The beauty of the Montana landscape is a constant source of inspiration for her, yet her works express something larger than her subject matter - a spirituality that is clearly revealed in her refined portrait work and luminous landscapes.
